Musical Director for "Rent"

Joe Moser is again filling the role of musical director and pianist for the award winning Montgomery County performing arts school YSTC in their latest production of the hit musical "Rent," which originally opened on Broadway in 1998. YSTC's production period lasted 5 weeks and will conclude with 3 performances in Ambler, PA from July 29th to July 31st 2011.

Remix of BT's "Always"

In collaboration with singer/songwriter Rachel Black, Joe Moser co-produced a solicited remix of BT's hit song "Always" from his Grammy nominated album "These Hopeful Machines." Not a "remix" in the typical dance-floor oriented sense of the word, this track is a "re-interpretation." Instead of the usual avalanche of chopped up words and synthesizer parts found in most remixes, this track features vibrant layers of vocals, grand piano, and piano-based sounds, reminiscent of a more traditional style of music. Joe Moser acted as Musical Director and Pianist for a production of the musical 13 with the Ambler-based Young Starrs Theater Company. YSTC has been voted best performing arts school in Montgomery County for two years in a row, and working with such a talented and dedicated young cast provides the perfect opportunity for Joe to start giving back some of the musical knowledge and training he has been so fortunate to receive.

Joe Moser was selected to work on a team of filmmakers to develop promotional videos for the Greater Philadelphia Film Office. Under the mentorship of J. Palmer Enfield and Rob Kates, Joe headed up location audio, audio post, and composed all original music for each of three commercial videos promoting various services offered by the Film Office.

Joe recently provided music engraving services for the Condé Nast Media Group Production, "Movies Rock 2007" airing on CBS December 1st, 2007. High profile industry events of this nature invariably require a large team of professional music preparation specialists, a field that Joe has had a great deal of ongoing experience with over the years. Patience and detailed professionalism, combined with long, late, and sporadic hours (ending only minutes before the start of a production) are the requirements for a music copyists for a project of this magnitude.
